I have posted my first thoughts at the Belmont Club regarding the hysteria over what amounts to a lucky shot or new tactical weapon but which is being treated as the some sort of Waterloo in which the coalition forces are the French.

And with quite the most clarity of the vast majority of the participants in that discussion, too, I'd add.
Ya gotta wonder sometimes if it has occurred to ANY of those freely spouting off on the subject to have tried actually reading even a little bit of military history ...if it has, they weren't much in evidence in that discussion.
I'd assume you're a fan of the writings of VDH than?
And ...GREAT title for a blog. After a couple of historical hints, even my wife approved. (And, not that it will do you much good, but I'll link to your site.)
